Welcome to the 2007-2008 Toastmasters year in District 27. We have had many successes in the past years and I expect the year ahead to hold many more successes. Our District Staff has been working hard since May to devise plans and put them into action. Our mission is to serve you and your clubs.
Our theme this year is Ideas, Enthusiasm, and ACTION! Just like Hollywood has lights, camera, action as its version of Ready, Set, Go! we have our own version.

As the District 27 Lt. Gov. Education & Training, I have three (3) things on my mind right now. First is the District 27 Spring Conference, second educational and leadership awards, and third the upcoming Toastmasters Year (July 1, 2008 thru June 30, 2009).
First, the District 27 Spring Conference is almost here, and I am so excited. I hope you are excited, too. The cost of registration is a little higher than previous conferences but there are a few extra things that we need to cover with this being a holiday weekend and an International President's Visit. The Toastmasters International President, DTM Chris Ford, will be to celebrate with us. It is a rare opportunity, indeed, to meet a sitting International President. There are over 90 Districts world-wide so a President can only visit a few per year. Chris will conduct a plenary session right after lunch. [more]
