Have you ever paid $100 for a one-day seminar? You probably won't pay
that for an entire year of Toastmasters. There is a $20 new member fee,
then $27 dues every six months. Clubs may also assess local dues to cover
local expenses.
What do you get for your new member fee?
Within a couple of weeks after joining, you will receive a New Member
Packet from Toastmasters International in Mission Viejo, CA. This packet
will contain the following manuals:
- Competent Communication Manual (the core of the program).
- Competent Leadership Manual (the basics in learning leadership).
- Effective Speech Evaluation (tips and techniques for giving
helpful evaluations).
- Your Speaking Voice (tips for adding strength and authority
to your voice).
- Gestures: Your Body Speaks (how to become skilled in nonverbal
communication).
