Nominations for District Officers
District 27's District Officer elections will be held at the Spring Conference.
The following Officers will be elected: District Governor; Lt. Governor Education
& Training; Lt. Governor Marketing; and 8 Division Governors. See what the
purpose/mission and qualifications
of each office are.
To nominate someone or (or nominate yourself) download the Nomination
Form and send it to the Chair of the Nominating Committee.
If you miss this deadline, the person can be nominated from the floor at the Spring Conference Business Meeting.
Club Presidents - Get your DCP Book and Officer Manuals from the previous President of your Club - they've been mailed
Distinguished Club Program booklet (Catalog No. 1111) and Club Officer handbooks for the coming year are mailed to the outgoing Club Presidents in May. Newly elected Presidents should ask their predecessor for the set.
Send Officer Lists to WHQ and District (by 06/30)
The completed officer lists (names and addresses of newly elected officers) for all Clubs are due at World Headquarters by 5 p.m. PT on June 30. Clubs meeting this deadline receive 1/2 of a DCP Point in the Distinguished Club Program for the upcoming Toastmasters year.
The forms were mailed to the Club Presidents in May or can be downloaded from WHQ at http://www.toastmasters.org/pdfs/clubinfo.pdf. Please send one copy to WHQ and once copy to the District Governor. Or you can fill this form out on-line at http://www.toastmasters.org/officerchange.asp?location=U.S. Don't forget to enter the District Governor's and your Division Governor's email address so they can get a copy of your officers. The email addresses can be found on the Contact Us Page.

Honor the best Toastmaster you know -- get them a special
award
The District Governor will appoint a committee to select the Toastmaster of
the Year, Club President of the Year, Area Governor of the Year, and Division
Governor of the Year from applications submitted in July of each year.

Club Presidents -- Appoint an Audit Committee during May
During May, the Club President appoints an audit committee. The committee audits the Club's finances.
It's time for Club elections (early May)
Club elections are held at the first meeting in May for all Clubs. Begin soliciting early for new officers (early April). The Immediate Past President normally is in charge of a 3-person Nominating Committee.
Proxy/credentials for the Spring District Conference
Club Presidents & VPE should fill out a proxy and give it to a member
of their club who will be attending the conference.
District 27 Proxies can be downloaded
from this web site, or are in the newsletter.
Proxies for both the Regional Conference and the International
Convention
Proxies are mailed to Club Presidents by March 31. Presidents sign them and
mail them to the District Governor before the Regional Conference in June and
the International Conference in August.

it.
If you misplace yours, you can receive a single replacement copy of
the proxy by contacting WHQ.

Spring Contest Season - Clubs take note
In January and February, Clubs should begin to prepare for the Evaluation and International Speech contests, which they should hold in late February or early March. Note that Area and Division Contests are usually held in mid-March and April. See also the Contest Section.

For Area Governors to get credit in the Distinguished
Area Program, the April semiannual reports must be received at WHQ by May
15. (Note: This deadline is not for the Clubs).
Post your contest winners
are mailed to Club Presidents around March 31.
Presidents sign
them and mail them to the District Governor before the Regional Conference in
June and the International Conference in August.

We are preparing
for the International Speech and Evaluation Contests. The Clubs should have
their contests in late February and early March. The Area Contests start in
mid-March and the Divisions start having their contests in April. The District
will hold its Contests at the Spring Conference in the beginning of May. For

Area Governors submit club visit forms.
By April 30, the Area Governors must either send the Area Report of Club Visit forms for their first round of visits to the the District Governor or submit them on-line at TI International
Start collecting dues in mid-February -- they are due 4/1
Note that Clubs that do not get them in by April 1 may have
their spring contest contestants disqualified because the Club or member
may not be in good standing.
- The Semiannual Membership Report forms are mailed to the Club President
on March 1.
- The completed Semiannual Membership Reports must be postmarked by April
1 and received by WHQ by 5 p.m. PT by April 10 (for DCP Credit).
- Clubs meeting this deadline receive 1/2 point in the Distinguished
Club Program (unless they received it for the October Semiannual Membership
Report).
Don't wait for all your members to pay before you send in your Semiannual Report
and dues check. Treasurers can renew online at the Toastmasters International Renewals page .

for the status of your dues renewals.
Verify Winter TLI Attendance for DCP
Club Officers should verify TLI (Toastmasters Leadership Institute) attendance
by checking on this web site (or by checking with the Lt
Governor Education or the TLI
Dean). Corrections can be made until approximately May 15 by contacting
the TLI Dean.
